It is an honour for me to be here today, at the invitation of the International Institute for Middle-East and Balkan Studies, to speak to you about the changes that are taking place in my country. 

 

Minister of Foreign Affairs to undertake official visit to the Republic of Slovenia

Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera will undertake an official visit to the Republic of Slovenia on 4-8 September 2016. This is the first high-level visit from Sri Lanka to the Republic of Slovenia since the election of the new Government in January 2015.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to visit Sri Lanka

At the invitation of the Government, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, accompanied by Mrs Ban Soon-taek, will visit Sri Lanka from 31 August to 2 September 2016.
