Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Harsha de Silva visited Singapore on 9th January 2017 to address the Public Forum cum Panel Discussion on the theme “The Indian Ocean” organised by the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS) of the National University of Singapore.

   

National Intergration and Reconciliation Week Marked in Ottawa

The Government of Sri Lanka declared the week January 8th -14th, 2017 as National Integration and Reconciliation Week, based on a concept of President Maithripala Sirisena.  The initiative was observed by the staff of the High Commission in Ottawa by commencing work, on Monday 09th January, pledging to devote their energies in every manner possible towards ensuring National Integration and Reconciliation.

 

Minister of Foreign Affairs to undertake official visit to the United Kingdom

Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera will undertake an official visit to the United Kingdom on 9-14 January 2017. This is the first high-level visit from Sri Lanka to the UK, since the appointment of the new Government of Prime Minister Theresa May following the Brexit vote in July 2016.
