Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ajith P. Perera represented Sri Lanka at the High Level Conference of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) on ‘Security and Stability in the Region of SCO’ on 4 June 2015 in Moscow. The High Level Conference was organized by the Russian Federation that holds the presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.

The Government and people of Sri Lanka are deeply saddened by the tragic deaths that occurred as a result of a fire that erupted in a petrol station in Accra at a time when the people of Ghana were already traumatized and trying to cope with torrential rain and floods.

 

Sri Lanka Expresses Condolences on the Capsizing of a Cruise Ship in the Yangtze River in China

The Government and the people of Sri Lanka express their heartfelt condolences to the Government and the people of the People’s Republic of China on the tragic incident of the capsizing of a cruise ship in the Yangtze River in the Hubei Province, where many people are feared to have drowned, with several hundreds, still missing.
