The sole authority for the approval, issuance, and extension of all types of visas is the Department of Immigration and Emigration, Sri Lanka.

One-Month Visas

Applicants applying for any type of one-month visa (Visit / Business) are advised to submit their applications through the online Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) portal: Click Here -www.eta.gov.lk

Three (03) Month Visit Visa

The High Commission issues Visit Visas valid for up to three (03) months.

Applicants who require a three-month Visit Visa must apply through the High Commission.

Requirements for a Three (03) Month Visit Visa

Applications may be submitted in person or by post.

In-Person Submission

1. Duly completed Visit Visa Application Form ( VISA Application )
2. A valid passport with a minimum validity of 180 days, together with a photocopy of the bio-data page
3. Confirmed flight ticket
4. Two recent passport-size photographs
5. Applicable visa fee by cash / money order or bank drafts only. (see below for payment details)

Submission by Post

1. Duly completed Visit Visa Application Form ( VISA Application )
2. A valid passport with a minimum validity of 180 days, together with a photocopy of the bio-data page.
3. Confirmed flight ticket
4. Two recent passport-size photographs
5. Money order or bank draft payable to “Sri Lanka High Commission”

Applicants submitting by post are kindly requested to include a prepaid, self-addressed envelope to enable the High Commission to return the documents securely. Documents should be forwarded to:

Visa Fees- 90 Days Visit Visa

Single Entry:  CAD 134.00

Double Entry: CAD 201.00
